LYNDHURST (Sept. 17, 2009, 9:55 a.m.) —
A 31-year-old Lyndhurst man was arrested Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m.
for reportedly sexually assaulting a minor in July and August,
according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
John Marion, of Lafayette Avenue, was charged with second-degree
sexual assault, third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and
fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.

By John Soltes / Editor in ChiefLYNDHURST (Sept. 17, 2009, 9:55 a.m.) — A 31-year-old Lyndhurst man was arrested Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. for reportedly sexually assaulting a minor in July and August, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
John Marion, of Lafayette Avenue, was charged with second-degree sexual assault, third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.
The arrest stemmed from an investigation by the county’s Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Squad and the Lyndhurst Police Department.
Marion’s bail was set at $100,000 with no 10 percent option. The suspect was ordered to surrender his passport and have no contact with the victim. Marion, who allegedly worked for a Rockaway sprinkler company, was remanded to Bergen County Jail in lieu of bail.
The suspect will be arraigned Tuesday, Sept. 22.
