Burglary
CARLSTADT — The owner of TM Express, located at 482 Barell Ave., reported Monday, Feb. 15 that someone stole $100,000 worth of clothing from the building. There were no reported signs of forced entry.
Criminal mischief
LYNDHURST — A Pompton Plains resident reported Friday, Feb. 19 at 8:42 p.m. that someone shattered the driver’s side window of her 1995 Ford while the vehicle was parked on Ridge Road. No entry was gained. Nothing was reported missing.
DWI
EAST RUTHERFORD — Avery H. Lippman, 40, of Bronx, N.Y., was arrested Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 10:32 p.m. for DWI, careless driving and driving while suspended, following a motor vehicle accident on Route 3 East. Police reported Lippman’s 1999 Isuzu went off the roadway and came to a rest on top of a mound of dirt. Lippman reportedly refused to conduct the field sobriety tests because he claimed he “will fail them no matter what.” Lippman registered a .25 percent in the breath test and his car was impounded. He was later released on summonses to a responsible party.
Public Intoxication
LYNDHURST — Ronald Barrington, 47, of Lyndhurst, was arrested Saturday, Feb. 20 at 1:04 a.m. for consumption of alcohol in public. Police reported he was sitting in a car and drinking in the parking lot of All Washed Up at 414 Lewandowski St.
Stolen car
LYNDHURST — A driver of a transportation company out of Garfield reported Saturday, Feb. 20 at 4:30 a.m. that someone stole a 2000 53-foot-long empty trailer while it was parked in the area of Kingsland and Page avenues.
Theft
LYNDHURST — A Washington Township resident reported Saturday, Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. that someone stole her backpack containing numerous items totaling $1,429, while at Medieval Times at 140 Polito Ave.
Theft from car
LYNDHURST — A Lyndhurst resident reported Monday, Feb. 15 at 7:38 a.m. that someone entered her 2009 Chrysler and stole a radio/navigation system valued at $1,500, while the vehicle was parked in the 600 block of 10th Street.
