 Tran’s Combat Martial Arts Academy conducts its first color belt test

EAST RUTHERFORD (Nov. 13, 2008) —

On Saturday, Nov. 1, Master Quoc L. Tran, founder and chief instructor of Tran’s Combat Martial Arts Academy, conducted the first color belt test at his school, located at 748 Paterson Ave., East Rutherford. One child, one teen and three adults were tested for their next rank.  

The promotion test includes basic, hand and foot techniques, endurance, self-defense, breaking and some questions related to martial arts training. All students did really well and were promoted to the following ranks: Matthew Tran, Keiko Yara, Juan Delvalle Robles and John Gibson promoted to Yellow Belt, and Juan C. Zuzunaga was promoted to Orange Belt. The promotion ceremony was done at the end of the test in which Master Tran presented the students with new belts and rank certificates.

Master Tran, a founder, legend and world-renowned Vietnamese martial artist, teaches his style of Vietnamese Combat Martial Arts/Wushu (Tinh Vo Dao/Vietnamese Combat Natural Boxing, Tranjitsu, Lu Tran Kung Fu, Street Rapid Defense System), a combination of self-defense, Kung Fu/Wushu, Qi Gong, Tai Chi, kickboxing, Karate, Jujitsu, mixed martial arts and much more. Master Tran’s style is recognized worldwide, nationally and internationally.
