(June 3, 2008) — On Thursday, June 12, ScoreBergen, the Bergen Chapter of SCORE, Counselors to America’s Small Business, will present a workshop for would-be entrepreneurs who are considering purchasing and operating a franchise as an alternative to corporate life.
In addition to dispelling common myths and misconceptions about franchising, the workshop, which will take place from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Community Services Building, 327 East Ridgewood Avenue in Paramus, will help fledgling business owners:
• Determine whether buying a franchise is appropriate for them
• Identify and research a franchise opportunity
• Understand the major components of a franchise agreement
• Understand the legal obligations of owners and franchisers
• Understand financing options
The presenter is Mike Martuza of FranNet.
Cost for the workshop is $20.00 for attendees who register in advance or $25.00 at the door. Additional participants in the same party pay $10.00 each.
