North Arlington to offer Zumba class

Things to Do

NORTH ARLINGTON (Oct. 14, 2010) — The North Arlington Recreation Commission is running a “Zumba” dance class every Tuesday evening at the Youth Center, which is located adjacent to the Town Hall Fire House and behind the High School at 7 p.m.

The cost is only $5 and kids are welcome to attend with their parents. It’s an adult dance class run by Marlyn Velez who teaches the same class at Classic Gym in Lyndhurst.

No registration is required as prospective dancers can just show up and be part of the latest salsa craze. Ana and JoAna Martinez, a mother and daughter duo, gave the class a rave review. JoAna (NA, Class of 2000), who presently is a counselor for the New Brunswick School District, said it was great to see salsa finally arrive in North Arlington.
