THE LEADER OF THE WEEK: (insert politician name)

Opinion

(Sept. 9, 2010) — How great would it be for a local politician to stand up against the party line and actually form an individual thought? This is a challenge to every public official in the local area: show independence when it comes to voting on the ordinances and policies that will affect our local towns. Once in a while, stray from what you are expected to do and actually vote your conscience. Call up your opponents on the other side, sit down and work toward a better future. The results will be exemplary. You will not be disappointed, and who knows, maybe you’ll be Leader of the Week.
