There will be registration for 16, 17 and 18 year olds’ Senior Babe Ruth of Rutherford in the near future.

In addition to each team’s 20 regular season games and playoffs, there will be in-season 13-year-old games, and for the first time, an all-Rutherford 13U travel team. A 14- and 15-year-old travel team is also being planned. With the nationwide popularity of travel baseball teams at an all time high, Rutherford Babe Ruth felt the need to provide a more reasonable option than the usual $1,000 per player membership fee to be on a team of this sort. In addition to playing other North Jersey town teams, the 13’s will be entered in a pair of high-profile tournaments. The impetus is for Rutherford’s Babe Ruth players to stay together on the same travel team, so as to improve their level of play all the way through their High School baseball careers. Those wishing to try out for the 13U all-stars, need to bring an additional $250 check.
