NORTH ARLINGTON — On April 8, at 9:30 p.m., police reported someone pushed in the window of Crystal Florist on Ridge Road and stole $100 cash from the register.
Criminal mischief
CARLSTADT — A Wallington resident reported March 27 at 6:26 p.m. that someone keyed his Chevy Corvette, while parked at Stop & Shop on Paterson Avenue.
DWI
EAST RUTHERFORD — Geovanny F. Asencio, 27, of North Bergen, was arrested April 7 at 6:29 a.m. for DWI and careless driving, following a motor vehicle accident. Police reported Asencio’s 2008 Nissan was off the roadway of Route 120 South, had front-end damage and came to rest against a fence. The car was impounded and Asencio was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center.
CARLSTADT — Peter J. Garcia, 24, of Wallington, was arrested April 4 at 2:11 a.m. for DWI and careless driving, following a motor vehicle stop on Hoboken Road near Union Street. He was released on summonses to a responsible party.
Fraud
CARLSTADT — An East Rutherford resident reported March 28 at 8:10 p.m. that someone used his Washington Mutual credit card at Stop & Shop on Paterson Avenue for $322.
NORTH ARLINGTON — Tiffany Gomez, 21, of Newark, was arrested April 8 at 7:19 p.m. for obtaining prescription drugs by fraud, possession of a forged prescription blank, possession of stolen property (prescription pad), from CVS Pharmacy on Ridge Road. A CVS pharmacist reported Gomez reportedly was trying to obtain 8 ounces of Tussionex. Gomez also had a warrant out of Paterson for $140. She was released after posting bail.
Shoplifting
EAST RUTHERFORD — Mariusz Wdowiak, 32, of Wallington, was arrested April 8 at 12:45 p.m. for shoplifting two bottles of Johnnie Walker Black worth a total of $115.98 from BJ’s Wholesale Club on Route 17 North. He was released on summonses.
Stolen car
CARLSTADT — An employee of Water Jel Inc., located on Broad Street, reported that someone stole a 2000 Freightliner tractor worth $30,000 from the parking lot some time between April 3 and April 6. A surveillance tape was reviewed.
Theft from car
EAST RUTHERFORD — A Netcong resident reported April 6 at 12:47 p.m. that someone broke the driver’s side and passenger side door locks of his 2006 Chevy and stole a Garmin GPS ($300) and Casio cell phone ($100), while parked at BJ’s Wholesale Club on Route 17 North.
EAST RUTHERFORD — An Everett Place resident reported April 5 at 8:21 a.m. that someone damaged the driver’s side door lock of her 2004 Nissan and stole her Moonachie Fire Department jacket, while parked in front of her home.
EAST RUTHERFORD — A resident of Prince George, Va. reported April 5 at 8:43 a.m. that someone damaged the ignition of his 2001 Chrysler Town and Country and stole a GPS unit, while parked at the Fairfield Inn on Murray Hill Parkway. There were no reported signs of forced entry.
CARLSTADT — A 100 block of Amor Avenue resident reported March 31 at 7:33 p.m. that someone shattered the passenger’s side window of her 2007 Hyundai Sonata and stole a Garmin Nuvi 350 GPS unit worth $300, while parked across from her home.
