JOSE NIVALDO CAMPREGHER
EAST RUTHERFORD — Jose “Joe” Nivaldo Campregher,
50, of East Rutherford, died on Aug. 6, 2005.
Born in Brazil, he came to the United States in 1985 and lived
in East Rutherford for the past 15 years.
Mr. Campregher was the owner and landscaper for Joe Campregher
Landscaping.
He is survived by his wife, Ana M. Campregher (nee Goscalves) of
East Rutherford; his son, Gabriel Campregher of East Rutherford;
his daughter, Julia Campregher of East Rutherford; his parents,
Geraldo and Christina Campregher of Brazil; and his brothers and
sisters, Isabel, Lenita, Silvia, Luiz, Eliana, Paulo and Carla,
all of Brazil.
Funeral mass was held in St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, East Rutheford.
Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Arrangements

STEFFIE RESZCZYNSKI
LYNDHURST — Steffie Reszczynski (nee Dudzienski), 84, of
Lyndhurst, died on Aug. 6, 2005, in St. Mary’s Hospital, Passaic.
Born in Baltimore, Md., she lived in Jersey City before moving
to Lyndhurst 47 years ago.
Mrs. Reszczynski was an office cleaner with Berlin and Jones, East
Rutherford.
She was a member of the Friendship Club and the Polish American
Citizens Club.
She is survived by her husband, Chester Reszczynski; her daughters,
Donna Liloia and her husband, Angelo, and Marie Fugel and her husband,
Robert; and her grandchildren, Nicol, Brian, David and Robert.

MARJORIE HAWKINS
LYNDHURST — Marjorie Hawkins (nee Kortright), 89, of Lyndhurst,
died on Aug. 7, 2005, in St. Mary’s Hospital, Passaic.
Born in Middletown, N.Y., she lived in Garfield for 20 years before
moving to Lyndhurst in 1957.
Mrs. Hawkins was an office worker for Ford’s Express in Lyndhurst
for 25 years before retiring in 1995.
She was predeceased by her husband, Owen Hawkins; her sons, Lance
and Keith Hawkins; a brother, Gerald Kortright; and a sister, Gertrude
Coleman.
She is survived by her son, Glenn Hawkins of Saddle Brook; her
daughters-in-law, Kathleen Hawkins of Saddle Brook, Patricia Hawkins
of Massachusetts and Nancy Hawkins of Rochelle Park; her brother,
Donald Kortright of Utah; her sisters, Helen O’Leary, Audrey
Ballard and Dorothy Karis, all of New York State; her grandchildren,
Louise Beaupre of Massachusetts, Melissa Poland of Bloomfield, Adam
Hawkins of Rochelle Park, and Christopher, Jennifer and Joanne Hawkins
of Saddle Brook; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held in Nazare Memorial Home, Lyndhurst. Interment
in Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst.
LOUIS P. SOTTOVIA
LYNDHURST — Louis P. Sottovia, 87, of Lyndhurst, died on
Aug. 10, 2005, in St. Mary’s Hospital, Passaic.
Born in Force, Pa., he lived in Lyndhurst since 1945.
Mr. Sottovia was employed as a service manager for Van Vallanderin
Machine Co., Paterson, for many years before retiring in 1994.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of the Lyndhurst Police Reserves for 40 years and
was bailiff for 20 years. He was also a charter member of the Amvets
Post No. 20, Lyndhurst.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Sottovia (nee Corino); his son,
Paul Sottovia of Whitehouse Station; his daughter, Jean Marie Sottovia
Redner of Nutley; a sister, Pearl Martini of Nevada; and three grandchildren,
Brian, Rose Mary and Keith Sottovia.
Funeral mass was held in Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst. Interment
in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lyndhurst. Arrangements made by

ANTHONY F. ZULLO
LYNDHURST — Anthony F. Zullo, 85, of Lyndhurst, died on Aug.
8, 2005, in Mountainside Hospital.
Born in Orange, he lived in West Orange before moving to Lyndhurst
12 years ago.
Mr. Zullo was a locker room attendant with the Baltusrol Country
Club, and was previously a West Orange Police Officer. He worked
at various golf courses.
He served in the U.S. Army, National Guard and was a Reserve Veteran,
receiving the Purple Heart award.
He was a member of American Legion of West Orange Post No. 22.
He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Jennifer Ann.
He is survived by his son, Dan Zullo of Rockaway Township; three
daughters, Ellen Nangle of Lyndhurst, Karen Daly of Bedminster and
Bethanne Fairlie of West Orange; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral mass was held in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church, Lyndhurst.

DIANA HEDDEN
LYNDHURST — Diana Hedden, 72, died on Aug. 8, 2005, at her
residence in Lyndhurst.
Born in North Arlington, she was a lifelong Lyndhurst resident.
Mrs. Hedden was an administrative assistant with Graytor Printing,
Lyndhurst, for 10 years before retiring in 2001.
She was a member of the Woman’s Club and secretary for the
board of trustees of United Presbyterian Church, Lyndhurst.
She was predeceased by her sister, Margaret Gunderman.
She is survived by her husband, James Hedden; her son, Timothy
Hedden and his wife, Maureen of Montgomery, N.Y.; her brother, Theodore
Rediker and his wife, Melrose of Pine Brook; her grandchildren,
Terrence, Kayla, Andrew and Garrett; and a niece, Lori Kennedy of
Three Bridges.
Funeral service was held in United Presbyterian Church of Lyndhurst.

WILLIAM S. DOMANSKI
LYNDHURST — William S. Domanski, 88, of Lyndhurst, died on
Aug. 8, 2005, in St. Mary’s Hospital, Passaic.
Born in Jersey City, he lived in Jersey City and West New York
before moving to Lyndhurst 53 years ago.
Mr. Domanski was the owner/operator of Bill’s Boulevard Shop,
Liquor/Deli in West New York for 25 years. Later he worked for the
law firm of Sills, Cummis, Zuckerman, Radin, Tischman, Epstein and
Gross in Newark as a legal administrator, retiring in 1984.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of the Polish-American Citizens Club of Lyndhurst.
He is survived by his daughters, Diane Warburton and her husband,
James of Lyndhurst, and Nancy Dello Stritto and her husband, David
of Coral Springs, Fla.; his sisters, Laura Mikolajczyk of Paterson
and Jean Zoch of Wood-Ridge; his grandchildren, Kelly Sibani, Matthew
Dello Stritto and Michael Dello Stritto; a great-grandson, Jayson
William Sibani; and many loving nieces and nephews.

CHARLES HUGH LYNCH
NORTH ARLINGTON — Charles Hugh Lynch, 67, of North Arlington,
died on Aug. 10, 2005, at Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville.
Born in Newark, he lived there before moving to North Arlington
17 years ago.
Mr. Lynch served in the U.S. Army from 1960-66.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Daniel Farnham and Philip Lynch.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Lynch of North Arlington;
his son, Charles H. Lynch of Paramus; two daughters, Cynthia Lynch
of Ohio and Tracey Schaeffer of Oakland; his sisters, Arleen Lucante,
Constance Lynch, Marilyn Martinez and Kathleen Scavo; his brothers,
Joseph Farnham, Thomas Lynch and Arthur Lynch; and one granddaughter.

ROY L. OTTO
RUTHERFORD — Roy L. Otto, 73, of Rutherford, died on Aug.
11, 2005.
He was born in Bethlehem, Pa.
Mr. Otto was a machinist for Allied Signal in Teterboro and Union
Precision Manufacturing in Totowa.
He was a member of the American Legion and the National Rifle Association.
He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Otto.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Otto (nee Denzer); his son,
Roy William Otto; his daughter, Catherine Marie Hoffman and her
husband, Glenn; his grandson, Kevin Hoffman; and his niece, Michelle.

HAROLD A. BRENNAN
CARLSTADT — Harold Anthony Brennan, 49, of Carlstadt, died
on Aug. 9, 2005, in University Hospital, Newark.
Born in Kearny, he lived in Wood-Ridge before moving to Carlstadt
two years ago.
Mr. Brennan was a plant manager for Metro Chemical, South Kearny,
for 20 years before retiring in 2003.
He is survived by his two sons, David Brennan and Paul Brennan,
both of Lyndhurst.

MARGARET DORIANO
RUTHERFORD — Margaret Doriano, 71, of Rutherford, died on
Aug. 11, 2005.
She was born in Rutherford.
Mrs. Doriano was a special education teacher for the Newark Board
of Education.
She is survived by her husband, Gennaro; two daughters, Jean Ann
DeLorenzo and Joan Cadiz; one son, John Doriano; two sisters, Mary
Stio and Ann Ferraro; a brother, John Ferraro; and six grandchildren,
Carianne Doriano, Gina Doriano, Britney DeLornezo, Alicia Cadiz,
Sara Cadiz and Jamie Cadiz.

EDWARD A. PILiONE
NORTH ARLINGTON — Edward A. Pilione, 97, of North Arlington,
died on Aug. 11, 2005, at the Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville.
Born in Berwick, Pa., he lived in Jersey City before moving to
North Arlington in 1942.
Mr. Pilione was a 1934 graduate of Newark College for Engineering
and worked as a chemical engineer for Koppers Fuel Company in Kearny
for more than 35 years before retiring in 1971.
He was a member of the North Arlington Senior Citizens Harmony
Club.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lillian (nee Orocchi); and his
grandson, Jame McEvoy.
He is survived by his children, Anita Hubert of California, Lois
McEvoy of Little Egg Harbor and Catherine Borrelli of East Rutherford;
his grandchildren, Michael Hubert, Amy Kusro, Mark Hubert and Karen
McEvoy; his step-grandchildren, Amy Herrmann and Sandra Borrelli;
four great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren; and
many nieces and nephews.

GRACE M. STRICKLAND
LYNDHURST — Grace M. Strickland (nee Lembo), 74, of Lyndhurst,
died on Aug. 12, 2005, in the Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville.
Born in Hawthorne, she lived in Lyndhurst for more than 70 years.
Mrs. Strickland was a meat wrapper for Foodtown of Lyndhurst for
many years before retiring in 1996.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank A. Strickland in June
1996.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Strickland of Lyndhurst
and Patricia Garrison of Pennsylvania; her son, Paul Strickland
of Bloomfield; two sisters, Philomena Mari and Alberta Pignato;
six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

PETER R. FORTE
LYNDHURST — Peter R. Forte, of Lyndhurst, died on Aug. 12,
2005, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Passaic.
Born and raised in Newark, he resided in Lyndhurst for 36 years.
Mr. Forte was a health officer for the Township of Lyndhurst for
30 years before retiring in 1996.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and was
a member of Amvets Post No. 20 and the Knights of Columbus No. 2396,
both of Lyndhurst.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Forte (nee Martucci); his daughters,
Donna Kelty of West Milford and Laura Di Biase of Newark; two brothers,
Vincent Forte of Belleville and Pat Forte of Newark; and three grandchildren.
Funeral mass was held in Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst. Interment
